A sophisticated & successful mentor of mine taught me that “When you sell to EVERYONE, you reach NO ONE.
That’s right No One.
It’s damn near impossible for EVERYONE to like your product, so you have to research and fish around to see who’s really looking for your services. One day it could be a 40+ woman or a 20+ year old man, but without the right steps & information, you will never know.
Making this mistake has caused most businesses to fail and close business. To avoid this, you must test the waters and learn which fish(audience) are biting the bait(product).
Missing out of $$$$$
From the very beginning, I was told the worst number in ANY business is 1. That’s because 1 means you don’t have a backup plan. If all else fails, you're shit out of luck. When creating your ads to attract customers, you can put in hours of labor and top tier designs, but you will still not reach your full potential in sales because that ad may only reach a certain audience..
Example:
If you’re selling makeup, you don’t just post an ad and say “ One of a kind make up for sale. Buy now..”
You should sit back and think, who exactly am I targeting ….Do the research and get as detail as possible.
When you create that list, separate each type of audience and create an AD for each type of person…. This is when we start to learn whom taking the bait......(Take notes)
Like who Likes YOU
If you want to MAX sales with each AD, use the A/B split test and scale your marketing campaign with the market data received.
With this test, you will know EXACTLY who’s interested in what you’re selling.
Make 1 AD and create 5 different versions of it using different Headlines, or colors.
Example:
Types of people interested in Make-Up.
High School girls
Adult women
Gay men
High school girls: AD using a high school girl preparing for prom.
Adult women(40+)
AD using a married woman preparing for date night.
Gay men
AD using Rainbow colors or drags.
With each ad, collect the data and whomever has the highest numbers is whom you should focus on.
Each time you test a product or service, you always want to test the market to see who’s interested at that current moment because the market is constantly changing.
With that strategy, you will save half of your marketing budget, which means double your sales.
